Instructions:

  1. In a small-medium size pot, mix 1 liter of full cream milk, 80g of sugar, 70g of cornstarch and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix it well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. You can adjust the taste to your liking.

  2. Place the pot onto a stove top and slowly heat it up on low-medium heat setting. It is important that you do not let the milk boil.

  3. Add 4 Cheddar cheese slices and stir for about 8-10 minutes. The mixture will thicken, and it will start to stick to the spatula or whisk that you are using the stir. At that point, turn off the stove.

  4. Grease a small-medium size mould using neutral oil. I am using canola oil spray. Then pour the mixture into the bowl slowly to avoid creating air bubbles.

  5. Cover with cling wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about 3 hours or until it is set.

  6. Then take it out of the mould and sprinkle with some desiccated coconut.

  7. Cut into slices and enjoy!
